^{I am always impressed with how beautiful our world is.}

 ^{Growing up at my family cottage in the Haliburton Highlands in Ontario inspired me to want to hold the images surrounding me forever. A photograph is only a jumping point for my artistic need. To paint the image, with all its nuances of colour and texture takes me beyond the photo, it puts me back into the scene.}

^{I become one with the place. I can feel the breeze or the coolness of the water. I can smell the pine trees and hear the wind & know all the sensations of the place. That is what it means to me to paint these places I love. That is my natural moment.}

^{It is my greatest hope that when you gaze upon my paintings, you too will feel the places I paint.}
